I
am delighted to be to be able to offer the Holistic Core Restore® programme which will help you learn to love your post baby tummy again.

What is diastasis?

So common to many women post birth, diastasis recti can be described as the stretching, weakening and dysfunction of the front and sides of the abdominal muscles and includes the connective tissues and fascia of these muscles. In media speak, it is the ‘mummy tummy’; the ‘gap’, the ‘dome’ the ‘looking five months pregnant at the end of the day’. Often women are told many things that they should avoid when seeking advice on their diastasis, however this system is different as it offers positive things that can be done to help and it’s not just about the exercises. A truly holistic approach to this common problem; nutrition, hydration, posture, breathing patterns and alignment are all intrinsic to the successful healing of a diastasis post-birth. This programme is bespoke to the individual client and is very hands on, so is offered as a 1:1 package.

Testimonials

Extremely beneficial! The gap in my stomach muscles has almost gone, I have increased definition and am well on the way to getting my pre mummy tummy back!

I followed the diastasis course with Pip and have seen fantastic results. When I started I was very unhappy with my shape and was suffering with almost constant back pain.  After 3 months there was a massive difference in both the size of the gap and the strength of my muscles.

I found the programme extremely beneficial! The gap in my stomach muscles has almost gone, I have increased definition and am well on the way to getting my pre mummy tummy back. I found the one to one sessions really useful and enjoyable - it was great to really focus on my body in a positive way for the first time in quite some time. I had great results from focused exercises for a very small and manageable amount of time each day :)

I followed the diastasis course with Pip and have seen fantastic results. When I started I had a gap of about 3cm and had very weak muscles. I was very unhappy with my shape and was suffering with almost constant back pain. I also have an umbilical hernia. I saw a consultant at about that time about the hernia who spoke to me about the option of surgically stitching my muscles together. We agreed I would spend 3 months following the diastasis programme with Pip before being reassessed for surgery. When I saw the consultant again, he was impressed with the difference in both the size of the gap and the strength of my muscles, and I am now booked in for surgery just to repair the hernia. I wish I had followed this programme after my first child, but better late than never because the results have been amazing! Pip's enthusiasm for the course and conviction in the results is contagious.

Following the first pregnancy I was left with a diastasis. After my second pregnancy it got worse and increased leaving me with a larger protrusion and a gap that was 3 fingers in width. I also had severe pelvic girdle pain and subsequent postnatal difficulties making exercise challenging and a very terrifying thought. I was extremely weak and unconfident about both my ability and tummies appearance. I saw my GP who informed me that it was unlikely to heal and may remain as it was. Surgery or low confidence seemed like the only option until I met Pip!!!!!!! Now nearly 4 months on I am confident and loosing weight too, ready for that little black Christmas number and the gap is now less than 1 finger space!
